Warranty Policy

All LikeBike ebikes are covered under our 1-year, all-inclusive manufacturer's warranty for the owner against all manufacturing defects. (Note: All free accessories provided with your purchase are not covered by this warranty service.)

WARRANTY PERIOD AND TARGET AUDIENCE TERMS

The warranty is registered automatically upon the initial purchaser’s order and receipt of the product from our online shop.

Please note we do not accept warranty transfer, we only provide warranty to our original customers.

Purchases from Non-LikeBike Channels: Bikes purchased through non-LikeBike official channels are not covered by our warranty. Ensure your purchase is made through LikeBike-approved channels to be eligible for warranty coverage.

Second-Hand Purchases: If you have purchased a second-hand LikeBike ebike, please provide the original order information for verification. Please note, if the bike is recorded as stolen in our system, it will not be eligible for warranty coverage.

COVERED PRODUCTS

LikeBike will replace any component deemed to be defective or damaged (including damage incurred during shipment), except in cases of user error. The warranty covers the listed products as follows:

Frame

LikeBike ebike frames are covered by a replacement warranty for 1 year.

This warranty includes a replacement frame only. Labor charges associated with transferring parts to replacement frames are not included. An authorized LikeBike service representative will determine if the frame meets the replacement standard.

LikeBike reserves the right to use "scratch and dent" stock when replacing a frame under this warranty. If the original frame style or color is out of stock, it may be replaced with a compatible style/color at LikeBike’s discretion.

Frame issues excluded from this warranty include but are not limited to:

  1. Corrosion
  2. Paint fade, scratches, and impact marks
  3. Impact damage
  4. Non-reversible modification (such as drilling or welding)
  5. Chain guard mounted to the frame, if applicable

Batteries

LikeBike batteries are covered by a 1-year prorated warranty.

During the 1 year of service, a defective battery will be repaired or replaced at no cost to the customer. The warranty period for a repaired or replaced battery remains unchanged from the original purchase date. 

Batteries can be assessed and found defective directly by LikeBike only.

This Limited Warranty does not cover:

  1. Defects or damage resulting from accidents, abuse, misuse, abnormal use (including but not limited to stunt riding, racing, or other similar activities not consistent with the intended use of the Products), improper storage, abnormal exposure to liquid, chemical exposure, moisture, abrasives, sand or dirt, neglect, or abnormal physical, electricalor electromechanical stress;
  2. Defects or damage caused by private modification;
  3. Scratches, dents, and cosmetic damage, unless caused by LikeBike;
  4. Products that have the serial number or bar-code removed, defaced, damaged, altered, or made illegible;
  5. Ordinary wear and tear;
  6. Defects or damage to the Products caused by the use of accessories, products, or ancillary/peripheral equipment not furnished or approved by LikeBike for the Products;
  7. Defects or damage caused by the assembly, testing, operation, maintenance, installation, service, repair, or adjustment of the Products in a manner that varies from the Assembly Instructions or Owner's Manual;
  8. Defects or damage resulting from external causes such as collision, fire, flooding, windstorms, lightning, earthquakes, exposure to weather conditions, theft, blown fuses, or improper use of any electrical source.

In addition, with respect to the battery, this Limited Warranty does not cover defects or damage resulting from following actions or situations:

  1. Charging with a battery charger not intended or appropriate for use with the Battery;
  2. Using a battery charger improperly;
  3. If any of the seals on the battery are broken or show evidence of tampering;
  4. If the Battery has been used in equipment other than the Bike for which it is specified.

Parts & Components

Original LikeBike Ebike parts and components are covered by a 1-year limited warranty. 

If a purchased accessory or spare part is confirmed to be non-functional, you may contact us for a replacement. The customer is responsible for the freight/shipping fees for these parts.

This Limited Warranty does not cover:

  1. Parts compromised by corrosion due to exposure to the elements (moisture, heat, etc.);
  2. Damage or deterioration of the surface finish, appearance, or aesthetics of the product;
  3. Labor charges for part replacement or changeover;
  4. Defects or damage resulting from accidents, abuse, misuse, abnormal use (including but not limited to stunt riding, racing, or other similar activities not consistent with the intended use of the Products), improper storage, abnormal exposure to liquid, chemicals, moisture, abrasives, sand or dirt, neglect, or abnormal physical, electrical or electromechanical stress;
  5. Scratches, dents, and cosmetic damage not caused by LikeBike;
  6. Products with the serial number or bar-code removed, defaced, damaged, altered, or made illegible;
  7. Defects or damage to the Products caused by the use of accessories, products, or ancillary/peripheral equipment not furnished or approved by LikeBike for the Products;
  8. Defects or damage caused by improper assembly, testing, operation, maintenance, installation, service, repair, or adjustment in a manner that varies from the Assembly Instructions or Owner's Manual;
  9. Defects or damage resulting from external causes, such as collision, fire, flooding, windstorms, lightning, earthquakes, exposure to weather conditions, theft, blown fuses, or improper use of any electrical source.
  10. Regular wear and tear not caused by craftsmanship or material defects, such as tires and brake pads, can be assessed by LikeBike.

Services

If you notice any problems under the warranty with your bike, please contact us at service@likebike.bike with the following information:

  1. Order number/ID
  2. The email and shipping address used when the order was placed
  3. Pictures/short videos of the issue along with a brief description of the problem

Parts and Customer Support

LikeBike may provide both parts and labor, but may direct you to replace certain parts yourself, as described below. In most cases, we do not require you to send the defective parts back to us.

Do-It-Yourself (DIY) Parts Service

DIY Parts Service allows you to service your own product. If LikeBike determines that DIY Parts Service is available to you, LikeBike will ship a replacement part for your product. The replacement part will be accompanied by instructions on installation and any requirements for the return of the replaced part. LikeBike reserves the right to decide if the labor costs relating to DIY Parts Service will be covered or not.

For Any Repair Outside the Warranty

Even if your problems are not covered by the Warranty, you can purchase replacement parts from us. As the manufacturer, we offer competitive prices for our bike parts. To purchase replacement parts, please contact us at supoert@likebike.bike for further information.

We DO NOT accept the return of the bike without prior email authorization. If you have any problems with the product, please contact us at support@likebike.bike. Our dedicated customer support team will be more than happy to assist you.

Shipping Damage:

Damage to covered components during shipping is not covered by this Limited Warranty, but LikeBike will replace such damaged components if you:

  1. Notify LikeBike of any covered components damaged in the shipping process within fifteen (15) days of your receipt of the ebike;
  2. Provide LikeBike with a dated picture of the damaged covered components;
  3. Take note of any immediately recognizable damage on the shipper’s Bill of Lading prior to signing off on the shipment.

Shipping damage claims are very time-sensitive, and you must inspect your ebike for damage as soon as you receive it.

If you choose to set up your own independent shipping method, such as the use of a freight forwarder or other similar service, LikeBike will not replace any Covered Components damaged during such shipping method.

Credit Card Chargebacks:

If any ebike purchase becomes subject to a credit card chargeback in any amount, and you are still in possession of the ebike, then this Limited Warranty shall be invalidated until the credit card chargeback has been resolved.

Claims Process:

LikeBike will not replace covered components under this limited warranty without first seeing photos or video of the damaged components. In order to exercise your right to receive a replacement for a Covered Component under this Limited Warranty, you must:

  1. Contact the LikeBike Product Support team by visiting https://likebike.bike/pages/contact-us.
  2. Initially, the Product Support team will identify simple solutions for the issue with your ebike.
  3. When the Product Support team determines that a Covered Component needs to be replaced, they will provide you with instructions on how to return the defective Covered Component (if required) and receive a replacement.
  4. After you receive the replacement Covered Component, the Product Support team will assist you in replacing or installing the new component into your electric bike.
  5. The shipping costs associated with returning a Covered Component will be your responsibility, unless LikeBike agrees to pay them in writing. Replacement Covered Components under this Limited Warranty shall only be shipped to the address of the original purchaser.

THE REMEDIES DESCRIBED ABOVE ARE YOUR SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDIES AND LIKEBIKE’S ENTIRE LIABILITY FOR ANY BREACH OF THIS LIMITED WARRANTY. LIKEBIKE’S LIABILITY SHALL UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES EXCEED THE ACTUAL AMOUNT PAID BY YOU FOR THE EBIKE, NOR SHALL LIKEBIKE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES BE LIABLE FOR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES OR LOSSES, WHETHER DIRECT OR INDIRECT.

SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. THIS LIMITED WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS AND YOU MAY ALSO HAVE OTHER RIGHTS, WHICH VARY FROM STATE TO STATE.

TO THE EXTENT PERMISSIBLE UNDER APPLICABLE LAW, LIKEBIKE DISCLAIMS ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE FOR THE DURATION OF THIS EXPRESS LIMITED WARRANTY. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG AN IMPLIED WARRANTY LASTS, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
