The ebike was acting erratic, jerky, motor making noise when starting, or it wouldn't go at all. We had a nail in the rear tire and replaced both the tire and tube. The new tire was a little taller even though it was the same size as the original (20x4.0) and had to remove the rear fender. We don't ride when it's wet, but water found its way up under the seat and in to the original controller enclosure.

I removed the seat and opened the controller. Couldn't slide the board out. It was poorly sealed and had water in it. You could see the water droplets on the clear plastic end where the wires enter. All it took was a few minutes with a hair dryer under medium heat to dry it out, then sealed it up with silicone.

Surprisingly, the U12 likebike started working normally right away and has been for the past few weeks. I bought this new controller expecting the original (wet) controller was fried or would soon fail. So far so good with the original controller.

I'll probably return the new controller since I know what the issue is. The Chinese got skimpy with the sealant.

I really can't give the new controller a review as I never used it, but I'd expect it would work the same.
